We've added beginner-specific classes to our calendar so you can ease in with confidence. We recommend completing 1–2 beginner classes before joining the main timetable — it'll make a real difference to how comfortable and capable you feel.
Built for beginners
Our beginner classes are slower-paced and fully focused on learning the fundamentals — how the reformer works, how to set up, and how to move safely and effectively.
Do 1–2 before the main classes
We recommend doing 1–2 beginner sessions first. You'll feel far more comfortable, confident, and ready when you step into a regular class.
Book from the timetable
Look for beginner classes in the schedule — they're labelled clearly so they're easy to find. Your intro credits cover these too.
Your first class, simplified
Starting something new can feel daunting. Here's everything you need to know to feel confident and prepared.
Before You Arrive
Book your class through the timetable below. Arrive 10 minutes early for your first session. Wear fitted, comfortable clothing.
What to Expect
Your instructor will introduce you to the reformer and explain the basics. Classes are small, so you'll get individual attention. Every movement is demonstrated and guided—you won't be left guessing.
During the Class
Move at your own pace. Ask questions. Take breaks when needed. Your instructor will offer modifications to suit your level. It's about control and precision, not perfection.
No Experience Required
You don't need to be flexible, strong, or athletic. Reformer meets you where you are. Every body, every level, every goal—there's space for you here.
After Your First Class
You might feel muscles you didn't know existed—that's normal! Most people feel energized yet calm. Use your remaining credits to build consistency and watch your strength grow.
Questions? Just Ask
Our instructors are here to help. Whether it's before, during, or after class—speak up. There's no such thing as a silly question when you're learning something new.
What is Reformer Pilates?
Reformer uses a spring-loaded machine to create controlled resistance. It builds core strength, improves flexibility, and enhances body awareness through precise, flowing movements.
Unlike mat pilates, the reformer provides variable resistance and support, making movements more accessible for beginners while offering endless progression for experienced practitioners.
